Gingerbread Man Comes to Chapa Elementary
Chapa Elementary welcomed the Gingerbread man for the holiday season. Students wrote letters to the Gingerbread Man, during their library classes, in which the students invited him to come see them. In response to their letters we hid many clues around the campus asking the students to “Run, run, run as fast as they could,” so that they could catch up to him. The students and teachers went hunting throughout the whole campus, following the clues left for them to solve. The students and teachers were all very involved and excited about solving the clues which would lead them to finding their treasure, the Gingerbread Man. At the end of the hunt, students enjoyed listening to the story of the Gingerbread Man, taking pictures and having a little snack with him, while at the same time our teachers were eagerly trying to figure out who was dressed as our character. This was a great way to end a busy holiday season, it took a lot of teamwork from our students, teachers, staff and parent volunteers. It was a wonderful experience for all who were involved. Thank you to everyone who helped make it a success!
